LACONIA - Marianne Edwards, 57, passed away unexpectedly in her home on January 17, 2017.
Born on December 28, 1960 in Aliquippa, PA, Marianne was the youngest of two children. She is predeceased by her parents, Normandie and Alvin Eberle. She is survived by her husband of thirty years, Robert Edwards, her daughters Kristen Barbour and Sarah Edwards, her brother and sister-in-law, David and Barbara Eberle, and Kemper Barbour, her grandson.
Marianne was a graduate of Clarion University in Clarion, PA. She worked for many years at Laconia High School in food service, where she loved interacting with all the students and staff. She followed all the sports teams, and was a regular attendee at Laconia High School varsity girl's basketball games.
She retired from Laconia High School in 2016 to become a "granny nanny" to her grandson, Kemper, which brought her so much joy every day. She would share stories about their daily adventures, and frequently shared her excitement in taking him to Disney World when he was older. She loved going on vacation every year to Myrtle Beach and Florida with her family, and would take every chance she could get to visit the beach.
There will be no calling hours.
A memorial service will be celebrated at 5PM on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance.
Burial will be private.
