Terry Nash of Franklin, MA passed away peacefully at home with family and friends by his side on Monday, January 15, 2018, after a courageous battle with ALS. Terry grew up in Newton and attended Newton North High. He enjoyed playing golf, basketball, ice hockey and skiing. He was an avid sports fan of all the Boston teams. Terry was a huge music fan as well. He loved to play the drums and attend many concerts. His favorite musical artist was Tom Petty, whom he recently saw in concert this past summer. Terry’s favorite place to be was “Pike Pond” in Stark, New Hampshire, known as “The Best Place on Earth.” This is where he enjoyed kayaking, bonfires, amazing sunsets and great food with family and friends. Terry would be known to be up at the crack of dawn cooking breakfast for everyone while blasting music all over Pike Pond. Terry was a devoted son, husband, father and brother who always gave 110% to everything he did. He was a gentle guiding hand with integrity to both his children. He had worked as a District Manager in several restaurants including El Toritos, Bertucci’s and most recently Boston Market where he worked for 18 years.
Terry is survived by his devoted wife Laurie of 24 years, daughter Kearney (21 years) and son Colin (19 years), as well as his dogs Ruby and Service Dog Mo. He was the son of the late James Nash. He leaves behind his mother, Theresa (O’Sullivan) Nash of Newton, his sister Eileen Nash of Newton, brother Joseph Nash and his girlfriend Rita Ashegh of Pembroke, brother John and Mary Jo Nash of Waltham, sister Mary and Roland Nash-Roy of Maynard, brother Brian and Vicki Nash of Marlborough, sister Jamie and Chris Miller of Hudson and his pre deceased brother Mitchell Nash of Newton. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins whom he loved spending time with. Terry will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
