Obituary



GORHAM, ME- Robin W. Scott, 76, of Gorham ME, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, January 13, 2018. She was born in Winchester MA on September 8, 1941, the daughter of the late Robert A. and Ruth (Moody) Wills. Robin was raised in Stoneham MA, graduated from Stoneham High School and Westbrook College (now University of New England). She enjoyed many great memories at the family’s second home on Ossipee Lake in New Hampshire.



On March 1, 1980 she married Douglas Scott of Williston VT, an officer in the Vermont Air National Guard and started a life which would take them through many adventures for the next 38 years in Williston and Hinesburg VT, Washington, D.C., Montgomery AL, Hilton Head SC, Ossipee NH, and lastly Gorham, ME. Robin was a gifted watercolor painter, avid reader, genealogy buff, and a lover of cats and birds. She successfully identified over 40 varieties of birds in the backyard of her home in Gorham. Robin was active in many organizations such as the Girl Scouts and her favorite, P.E.O., a philanthropic organization for the education and advancement of women. She became a member of Chapter C-VT in 1981, later helped organize a new Chapter H-VT, in the Middlebury area and was currently a member of Chapter D-ME. She was an active member of the Cressey Road United Methodist Church in Gorham, Maine.



Robin is predeceased by her parents and sister, Joan Moulton. She leaves behind her loving and caring husband, Douglas, sister Shirley Swain and husband George of Gorham ME, and sister Betsy Wills of Exeter NH. She also leaves her niece Terry Swain, nephews Gregory Andrew Swain, H. Kenneth Risch and his wife Janet, and Hans P. Risch and his wife Tammy, as well as her loving Scott in-laws, several grand and great grand nephew and nieces, many long time friends and her beloved cat, Smudge IV.



There will be a memorial service followed by a reception at 11:00AM on Saint Patrick’s Day, March 17, 2018, at the Cressey Road United Methodist Church in Gorham ME. Robin will be interred at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph Center VT at a later date. On-line condolence messages can be submitted at the Chad E.
