Joseph J. Dupuis, age 98, of Brockton, died January 15, 2018 at Life Care Center of West Bridgewater. Joe was the husband of the late Frances (Barry) Dupuis) and Claire (Shepherd) Dupuis. Born in Marlboro, he was the son of the late Amedee and Aurore (Bousquet) Dupuis. He was raised in Brockton and attended Sacred Heart School. During WW II he served in the Army Air Force.
Joe, along with his brother Francis, were the owners of Sta-Sharp Knife Company for 45 years, and retired in 2002. Joe liked to travel and for 40 years spent his summers on the Cape in South Dennis. He was an avid golfer and member of DW Field Golf Course. He was also a member of the Franco American Club and Brockton Bowling League.
Joe is survived by his children Jeanne Walter of Brockton and Richard Dupuis of Yarmouthport; four grandchildren Bryan and Daniel Dupuis, and Scott and Jay Kurinskas; five great grandchildren Shayne and Chayse Dupuis and Anya, Ryan and Juliette Kurinskas and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Francis Dupuis and Annette Lanoue.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Friday January 19, 9:30-10:30am, followed by a Funeral Mass in Christ the King Church at 11am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
