Virginia R. "Nancy" (Silva) Lopes, 88, of Dartmouth died January 15, 2018 at Sacred Heart Home.
She was the wife of Joaquim "Jack" Lopes.
Born in Warren, RI, the daughter of the late Julio and Palmira (Ribeiro) Silva, she lived in Dartmouth most of her life.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
Mrs. Lopes was formerly employed by Cornell-Dublier for several years.
Survivors include her husband; 2 sons, David Lopes and his husband Jerry Jeffkin of Chelsea and Robert Lopes, and his wife Nelia, of Dartmouth; 2 daughters, Kathleen Lopes of Dartmouth and Mary Ann Rogers and her husband Edward of New Bedford; 2 granddaughters, Tiffani and Mecaela Rogers; several nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral will be held on Friday, January 19th at 8 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9 AM. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, January 18th from 3-7 PM.
