Hardy, William “Billy” of Chepachet, RI formerly of Somerville and Needham died Sunday, January 14, 2018. He was the son of the late William and Barbara Hardy. He had a long and rewarding career with Boston Edison, now known as Eversource. He was a top notch lineman, who took great pride in his work. Billy is survived by his loving wife Agnes (Svansdottir) Hardy. His stepdaughters Michelle Boylan and her husband Marc of Chepachet, Laura Methot and her husband Justin of Riverside, RI. Brother of Susan Nichols and her husband John, Barbara Gouthro and her husband Dennis, Mary Ann Hardy all of Needham and Kelly da Silva of Dedham. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 nieces and nephews. Bill had a great heart and a very generous spirit. He was greatly loved and will be sorely missed by many.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave. NEEDHAM on Saturday, January 20, at 9:00am followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Bartholomew Church in Needham at 10:00am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours on Friday, January 19, from 3-7pm. Interment private.
