Margaret “Maggie” Regan-Deatrick of Evans, GA., beloved wife of Doug Deatrick , entered into rest on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Doctors Hospital.
Born in Jersey City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Regan. Her love of children led her to pursue a teaching degree. She taught pre-K and kindergarten in New Jersey for over 15 years. After moving to Georgia, she was a special needs teacher at Evans High School for many years. Maggie was a beach lover and adored her cats.
In addition to her husband of 34 years, she is survived by her sister, Colleen Henderson, her brothers; James Regan and Daniel Regan, sisters and brothers in law; Donna and Edward Bonitz and Jody and Steve Spencer, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother in law, Carl Henderson.
A memorial service in her honor will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with the Rev. Michael Ingram officiating. There will be a second memorial service at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church, 305 N. Prince Street in Shippensburg, PA. For each service, the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
