Mr. John E. Wisner III went to meet his heavenly Father on Friday, January 12, 2018, with his family at his side.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at the Bellevue Baptist Church, 714 Reynolds Rd., Grovetown, GA 30813 with Reverend Jerry Pitman officiating.
John was born in Richmond, VA, but had lived most of his life in Augusta, GA. He retired from the U. S. Army with 20 years of service, having served one tour in Viet Nam. He was a member of the Bellevue Baptist Church. He found his greatest joy in spending time with his family. He was loved by all who knew him.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Elsie Helms and John E. Wisner II and his sister, Muriel Hancock.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Jean Wisner, two daughters, Angie Reames (Larry) and Tina Vinson, three sons, John Wisner IV, Bill Wisner and Chris Wisner, a nephew, Glen Hancock (Leah), six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
The family would like to express Special Thanks to Brookdale Assisted Living and Heartland Hospice for their loving care.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Bellevue Baptist Church from 1:00 pm until the time of services.
