William A. Henderson, Sr. age 86 of Canton passed away January 9th at the Brockton Health Care Center. Born in Boston, he was raised in Dorchester, graduated from Dorchester High School and was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a Patrolman for the Boston Police Department for many years before retiring. After retiring he worked as an Investigator for the Alcoholic Beverage Commission and the Boston Housing Authority. He has lived in Canton for the last 50 years.
Beloved husband of the late Catherine E. (Duffy). Father of William A. Jr. and his wife Mary of Jamaica Plain, Thomas J. and his wife Deborah of Bridgewater, Maureen Rocci of Canton, Michael J. of Canton and Kathleen Henderson and her husband Michael Peternell of CA. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Monday 4-7 pm. Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church Canton Tuesday morning at 10:00. Burial Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
