William H. “Bill” Nunn, 84, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held 4 PM, Thursday, January 11, 2018, at Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Earlie Holt officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3:30 at the funeral home on Thursday.
Mr. Nunn was born March 13, 1933, in Attalla, Alabama, to the late Clarence & Lila Nunn. He was a Teamster and drove a truck for Delphi Automotive Systems. His work brought him to Fitzgerald in 1978 from Gadsden, Alabama. He was a shade tree mechanic and enjoyed tinkering on things. He loved to fish and enjoyed watching football, especially his beloved University of Alabama…ROLL TIDE!!
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Zelna Nunn of Fitzgerald; children and step-children: Pam Nunn Williamson and Kevin of Fitzgerald, Ricky Elrod of Fitzgerald, and Craig Seagroves and Cheryl of Fitzgerald; step-grandchildren: Laura Cooper and Mitch, Matt Seagroves, and Zach Elrod; step-great-grandchildren: Landon Cooper, Preston Cooper, and Wilson Cooper; and two sisters: Ruth Engle & Bob of Boaz, Alabama and Lizzie Brashier of Gadsden, Alabama. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, June Bradford Nunn; a step-son, Eddie Elrod; and a step-granddaughter, Kerri Alison Gibbs.
