Doris R. (Goddu) Voisine, 77, of New Bedford, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001, at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness. Born in Fairhaven, daughter of the late Adelard and Anna (Levasseur) Goddu, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life with her daughter, Geraldine.
She was a member of the Calvary Bible Church in Westport. Mrs. Voisine was formerly employed by Epec Inc. and later by Isotronics Inc. until she retired in 1985.
She enjoyed playing bingo, taking long country drives and autumn.
Survivors include four daughters, June A. Voisine of New Bedford, Jacqueline Guilbeault of Fairhaven, Geraldine M. Terrell of New Bedford and Christine A. Mello and her husband, Glenn, of Fairhaven; a son, Leo D. Voisine and his wife, Diane, of East Freetown; a sister, Jeanette Galligan of Charlotte, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Norman Goddu, Romeo Goddu, Antoinette DeMilio, Loretta Nadeau and Lorraine Shard.
