Maureen Wengler-Mahoney
Director of Cloud Operations for Genesys, Inc.
TEWKSBURY: Maureen Wengler-Mahoney, age 61, a resident of Tewksbury for 30 years, passed away at the Winchester Hospital on Sunday, January 7, 2018, following a courageous 5 year battle with cancer.
She was the beloved wife of James M. Mahoney, with whom she celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary on September 3, 2017, having met her husband in Cancun, Mexico.
Maureen was born in East Northport New York. She attended local schools and graduated from Holy Family High School.
Following graduation, she attended Nathaniel Hawthorn College in Antrim, NH, where she received her B.S. Degree in Business. Maureen later attended New Hampshire College (SNHU), where she received her Master Degree in Business Administration.
Maureen was employed in the computer software industry for many years, and most recently worked for Genesys, Inc in Burlington, where she was the Director of Cloud Operations.
Maureen was active in many local organizations including the Tewksbury Girls Softball Program, the Heath Brook School P.A.C., and the Shawsheen Valley Technical School P.A.C. In addition, she previously taught in the C.C.D. Program at St. William’s Church in Tewksbury.
In addition to her husband, Maureen is survived by two children, Keara M. Mahoney and Keagan J. Mahoney, both of Tewksbury; also numerous extended family members and friends.
Calling hours are Friday, Jan. 12, from 4-8 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Her funeral procession will begin Saturday, Jan. 13, at 9 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury.
