New Bedford – Adele K. (Hawkins) Williams, age 95 of New Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Sacred Heart Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter James Williams and the daughter of the late John and Jessica (Phillips) Hawkins.
Adele was born in Schenectady, NY and eventually moved to this area over 25 years ago where she had worked as a practical nurse. Adele had always been so very proud of being the daughter, wife, mother and sister of a veteran.
She is survived by her son, James Williams and his wife, Brenda (Gomes); she was also the sister of the late John (Bussie), Myrant (Mike) and Lucile Hawkins.

Adele’s visiting hours will be held on Sunday afternoon from 1:00-3:00 P.M. at the funeral home with a service to be held during this time. Burial will take place on Monday morning in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne and those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral between 8:00-8:15 A.M.
