Alan R. Gray, 83 of Westport died Friday, January 5, 2018 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Shirley A. (Perry) Gray, they were married for 61 years.
Born in Fall River, son of the late Charles E. Gray, Sr. and the late Annie (Healy) Gray, he was a lifelong resident of Westport. A veteran of the Korean War, he served his country in the United States Army. Prior to retirement, he worked in the construction field. He was an avid New England sports fan and enjoyed working in his yard. A loving husband and father, he loved spending time at home with his family.
Including his wife, survivors include 3 sons: Alan R. Gray, Jr. , John P. Gray and Scott A. Gray; a sister: Virginia A. Sexton; 2 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was brother of the late Phillip Gray, Donald Gray, Robert Gray, Charles Gray, Jr., Lawrence Gray and Eunice Levigne.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
