James Autry Nichols, 61, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, October 27, 2005 in Ben Hill County.
Funeral services will be held 4 PM, Saturday, October 29, 2005 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald, with Rev. Earlie Holt officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7 until 9, Friday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Nichols was born February 2, 1944, in Micanopy, Florida to the late Harvey H. Nichols and the late Lenora Harper Butts. He grew up in Fitzgerald and was a former resident of Winter Garden, Florida. Mr. Nichols served in the United States Army, serving in Germany. He was a truck driver for the Ben Hill County Road Department.
Mr. Nichols is survived by a son: James Nichols of Fitzgerald; daughter: Anita Nichols of Winter Garden, FL; brother: Lamar Nichols of Fitzgerald.
