WORCESTER: Maureen Ann (McFadden) Healy, 71, died Thursday evening, January 4, 2018 at Life Care Center of Auburn, after a long illness. Her husband of 47 years, Joseph M. Healy, died September 14, 2012.
She leaves two sons, Joseph R. Healy and James M. Healy, both of Worcester; two sisters, Virginia M. Purcell and her husband Jim of Mendon; Jo-Anne Anderson and her husband Mark of Worcester; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Porcaro of Worcester; two brothers-in-law, Raymond Healy of Millbury and Hank Kniskern of Florida; three grandchildren; a great grandson; and several nieces and nephews. A sister, Jaqueline Kniskern and two brothers, James C. and Gordon W. McFadden, Jr., all predeceased her. She was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Gordon W. and Jeanne (LaRose) McFadden and was a graduate of Commerce High School.
Maureen worked as a clerk for 10 years at the UMass Memorial Disability Determination office until she retired. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor.
