Jane Marie (Rogers) Lavenia of Everett Massachuetts passed away on January 7, 2018 following a long illness. She was born in Somerville Massachuetts on November 1, 1949. She was the beloved wife of Anthony S. Lavenia for 44 years. Mother of Marie Lavenia of Woburn MA , Tina Lavenia of Woburn MA , Kelly Gagnon and her husband Joseph Gagnon of Laconia NH.
Jane leaves behind her three grandchildren Jillian, Emily and Olivia Gagnon from Laconia NH. She also leaves behind mother Mary Conway of Carver MA . She is predeceased by her father Leo H Rogers and step father Joseph Conway. She leaves behind brother Leo and his wife Sandy of Berwick Maine, Medford Police Sgt. Lawrence and his wife Nancy Rogers of Medford MA, sister Deborah and late husband Michael Scanlon of Medford MA, Mary and her husband John Carlson of Florida. A brother in law Christopher and wife Lori Conway of Reading MA, Joseph and his wife Penny Conway of Indianapolis Indiana, sister-in-law Mary Lou and her husband Richard of Reading MA and many nieces and nephews.
Jane graduated from St. Joseph’s Parish School . While attending St. Joseph’s school she was a very active member in many clubs. Jane also graduated Girls Catholic High School in Malden MA where she played on the basketball team. She continued onto Somerville School of Nursing were she became a RN. Jane worked as an RN for 40years and was very passionate about her job.
Jane was a very compassionate person and loved to help people. She worked as a nurse just to make an impact on people. Jane has not been well for many years but always seemed to have the strength to care for us when in need. She taught CCD classes in the First Communion Program. Jane will be missed by so many.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street, Medford, of Thursday, January 11th at 10:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 through 8 PM. At the request of the family, interment will be held privately.
