Jeffrey J. “Big Dawg” LeBlanc, 48, passed unexpectedly, but peacefully in his sleep on Monday, January 1st, 2018. Jeff was an avid Boston sports fan, never missing a game and often staying up late using expletives to cheer on his team. Jeff had a huge heart and a kind soul. He lit up the faces of his family and friends when he entered a room. Always hugging and welcoming his friends, he was known as a gentle giant, yet referred to by most as “Big Dawg.”
Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer M. Whitman-LeBlanc, his son Mitchell LeBlanc and his daughter Madison LeBlanc. He is also survived by his former wife and the Mother of his children, Lori Ann Gangi of Methuen, MA.
Jeff was an only child and is survived by his wife’s siblings, whom he loved as his own. Leo (Lee), Valerie, Daniel, (his long time girlfriend and family friend, Tracy Desjardins), and Audrey Whitman. Along with his great love for his in-laws, Suzanne Soucy Whitman and Leo F. Whitman, of Tyngsboro, MA, he is also survived by four nephews, and one niece, all who loved him as much as he loved them. Jeff is also survived by his favorite Aunt, Terry Veiga, of Chelmsford, MA. Jeff is also survived by his parents, Carroll & Dennis LeBlanc, of Nashua, NH.
Big Dawg enjoyed spending time, watching sporting events and laughing with his friends. He was often in the company of his best friend, Eric “Skeet” Liquor, Brian and Renee Desimone, Chris Guitard, Ariana “Ari” Carr and Michael Doherty. Jeff had many dear friends who couldn’t all possibly be listed here, but he loved them all.
In respect of Jeff's final wishes, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, please kindly make donations to 50Legs.org, a charity in which Jeff donated his time and held very close to his heart. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry assisted the family with arrangements.
