Joseph J. Imbornone, passed away Wednesday at the Mass General Hospital, in Boston after a extended illness, the husband of Theresa L. (DiPrizio) he was seventy-one. Born in Revere he was raised in Everett, the son of the late Vincenza and Francesco Imbornone.
Joe retired in 1998 from Woolworth Department stores where he worked for many years as a window display manager. He was a active member of the Winchester Sons of Italy and a Medford resident for over 35 years.
In addition to his wife Theresa he is survived by his devoted brother in law Anthony DiPrizo of Stoneham, his sisters Rose Burke and her husband Milton of Andover and Frances Dixon of Melrose, his brother Frank Imbornone and his wife Carol of Quincy, his sister in law Ester of Stoneham and Jean of Melrose, also many cherished and loving nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St. Medford on Saturday, June 15 at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, High St. Medford at 10. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.Visiting Hours at the funeral home on Friday 4 thru 8.
