Ronald D. Sheehan, age 78, of North Easton, died January 5, 2018 at his home with family. He was the loving husband for 45 years of Joanne (Sharpe) Sheehan. Born and raised in Brockton, he was the son of the late Joseph and Dorothy A. (Doucette) Sheehan. Ron was a graduate of Brockton High School and was enlisted in the Army in 1958. He had been employed by Automatic Radio in Canton, Motorola Company of Mansfield and retired from Unicom Engineering in Canton in 2005. He had been an avid volunteer and Championship Little League Coach for 20 years in Stoughton, specializing in field maintenance, coaching and fundraising. Other interests include collecting NASCAR memorabilia, boxer dogs, Patriots football and candlepin bowling.
Ron was the father of David Sheehan Sr. and his wife Tina of Tamworth, NH and Ronni Rucki and her husband Stephen of Tolland, CT; grandfather of Lillian, David Jr., Brena, Cheyenne, Brayden and Kaitlyn, godfather of Doreen Kohl; great uncle of Connor and Catherine and brother of Paul Sheehan, Virginia Brawders, Edward Sheehan and the late Lorraine Janicki. He is also survived by a special sister in law Kim Brodeur and her husband Ray, many nieces, nephews and wonderful neighbors.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Thursday, January 11 from 10-11am followed by a Funeral Service at 11am.
