Mr. Fritz Jean of Hyde Park passed away on January 4th, 2018. Fritz was born on July 1, 1936 in Maissade, Haiti, to his parents Oneisfort and Tasia Jean. He attended the following institutions: Ecole Premier in Cape Haitian, Lefrere Canadian and Lycee Dumarais in Hinche where he earned a bachelors degree in Philosophy. Fritz moved to Port Au Prince Haiti where he obtained employment and met Gypcienne St. Louis who in the near future became his wife. They migrated to the United States where they began their journey together raising a family of five in Boston, Mass. Fritz was employed by Astra Corp developing instrument transformers and accessories. Fritz also worked a second job at night for Beth Israel Hospital. He retired around the age of 65.
Fritz was known for his strong work ethic, warm spirit, generosity kindness and his charming per sonality. Fritz is preceded in death by his two brothers Max Ludner Jean and Lucien Jacques Jean with a surviving brother of Hughes Jean. Fritz's desire was to see all his children live a successful life. He is remembered with love by his family Renell Jean, Harry Jean Fred Jean, Estelle Scott, Daniel Carington, Maria Tacia Jean, Gregory Jean, Farrah Jean, Maryse Jean and a host of nieces, nephews, grandsons, grand daughters, great grand kids, inlaws and friends. He is loved, and will always be missed by many.
The family will receive visitors at the Joseph Russo Funeral Home, 814 American Legion Highway, Roslindale, on Friday January 12th from 10-11 am. Followed by a funeral service at 11.
Interment will be at Saint Michael Cemetery, Roslindale
