In Raynham, Bernard P. Remily, Age 95, passed away peacefully in Lifecare Center of Raynham on January 2, 2018. Bernard was the loving husband of the late Dorothea (Benner) Remily for 46 years. He was born in Winooski, VT on June 5, 1922, the son of the late Joseph C. & Ursula M. (Allard) Remily. Bernard was a resident of Eastham, MA until his health had declined. He was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Burlington, VT and the University of Vermont. Bernard served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy during WWII, receiving many medals. Bernard worked for 30 years at Cleminshaw Company in Canton, MA and an assessor for both Brattleboro, VT and the Town of Sandwich, MA. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and enjoyed his time with family. Bernard was the brother of the late Rita Hutchinson, Norma, Reginald and Lorraine Remily. He is survived by a nephew Lynn Hutchinson of Lakeville, his nieces Cheryl Southworth of Raynham and Christine Pagliuca and her husband Frank of Taunton, Audrey Sukovich and her husband Steve of North Eastham and several great nieces and nephews. Arrangements are under the care of the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home in Taunton. Services are private and burial is at Bourne National Cemetery.
