Warren Richard Ruck, of Medford, died on Wednesday, January 3. A lifelong Medford resident, he was the son of the late Clifton A. and Olive E. (Meany) Ruck.
Warren proudly served in the Army, after which he spent the majority of his career as both a driver and then warehouse manager for Utt Distributing. Most recently, he was employed part time as a school bus driver for special needs children. Warren was also an avid New England Patriots fan and enjoyed golfing and sailboat racing. He spent many wonderful Sundays on the Charles River as a active member of the Tiller Club of Community Boating of Boston. Most importantly, Warren is remembered as a dedicated family man with an adventurous spirit that cherished the time spent with his family.
Warren was the beloved husband of Anita (Esposito) Ruck, and the devoted father of Laura Paul and her husband Joseph of Medford, Cheryl McGarigle and her husband Jay of Townsend, and Steven Ruck and his wife Donna of North Reading. He was the loving grandfather of Charles Warren McGarigle, Brandon and Kyle Ruck, and brother of the late James P. Ruck.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Wednesday, January 10 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday, January 9 from 4 through 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
