New Bedford– Claude Joseph Fafard, age 69 of New Bedford, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Lucie Yergeau and the son of Claire Marie (Lemire) Fafard and the late Marcel Fafard.
Claude was born in Quebec, Canada. He worked as a carpenter and repaired old homes, worked on boats and also did plumbing and electric work.
He is survived by his wife, Lucie; his 6 children, Nicole Fafard Brousseau, Mabel Fafard Hebert, Brian Fafard, Robert LeBlanc, Rene LeBlanc and Isabelle LeBlanc Furtado; 10 grandchildren, Christopher, Kalib, Jasmin, Nathan, Thomas, Melody, Maryanne, Elizabeth, Kyle and Mia; as well as 9 brothers and sisters.
Claude's visiting hours will be held on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00P.M. with a memorial service to take place during that time.
