Larry Busbin, 62, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Pinetta Baptist Church in Irwin County, with the Rev. Steve Hand officiating. Interment will follow in the Pinetta Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mr. Busbin was born February 23, 1955, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Gordon & Betty Polly Fletcher Busbin. He lived in the community all of his life and was a serviceman for Tri-County Gas and Luke Propane, in Ocilla. He also worked in construction. Mr. Busbin was a member of Pinetta Baptist Church.
He is survived by his children: Patrick Patterson of Ocilla, Larry D. Busbin & Racquell of Douglas and Jason & Courtney Patterson of Ocilla; grandchildren: Robbie Patterson, Jaxon Busbin and Camron Tucker; siblings: Betty Kay Busbin Williams & Robert of Irwin County, Ricky & Donna Busbin of Florida, Debbie Busbin Heath of Alapaha, Tim Busbin of Irwinville , Dale Busbin of Irwinville and Donna & Dale Mims of Franklin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Jean Busbin; a son, Todd Busbin, and two brothers: Roe Cecil Busbin and Rex Willis Busbin.
