German Ulises Llanos, 78, of Huasahuasi, Junin-Peru, passed away peacefully today - Monday, January 1st, 2018 in Chicago, IL.
Ulises is survived by his wife Flor of 45 years, son German Llanos, and daughter Vanesa Lyon and loving grandchildren: Sebastian and Alina.
Ulises was a loving father, husband, grandfather and a friend to all.
Ulises was a mechanical engineer and loved home improvement and was the owner of Lincoln Hardware Store until he was forced to give up his business due to his brain surgery. He enjoyed watching sports and he was a loyal fan of the Sporting Cristal, Steffi Graf and Pete Sampras. In addition, he was dreaming of watching Peru in the Fifa World Cup. He also enjoyed reading El Comercio (a Peruvian newspaper) daily and writing poetry. Ulises strongly believed that lessons learned in World History would help us not to repeat mistakes made by others in the past.
Special thank you to Seasons Hospice and Alden Lake Nursing Home for their loving care and support throughout this journey.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 9:00 pm at Ocwieja-Robles Funeral Home at 4256 S. Mozart St. Chicago, IL 60632 on Thursday, January 4th and Funeral Services will be starting at 7:00 pm at the same location.
