GORHAM- Robert W. Cousins, age 90, of Gorham, passed away on Jan. 1, 2018.
He was born in Portland on Feb. 28, 1927, the only child of the late Maurice and Leila (Robinson) Cousins.
During his high school years, Bob was on both the basketball and baseball teams. After graduating from Samuel D. Hanson school in Buxton, Bob went on to work through out his working years at S.D. Warren paper mill.
He will always be remembered for the enjoyment he had with golfing and hunting, and enjoyed maintaining his lawn and shrubs.
He is predeceased by his wife- Sheila Cousins who passed away in 2015; and a son- Bruce Cousins who passed away in 1991.
Bob is survived by his children- Brian Cousins and his wife Vickie of Buxton, and Barry Cousins and his wife Christy of Gorham; stepchildren- Charles Shull, Michael Shull, and Peggy Garcia; grandchildren- Kerry Kelchner of Windham, Jamie Cousins of Buxton, Jason Cousins of Westbrook, Christopher Cousins, of Gorham, and Sarah Wing of Standish; and nine great grandchildren.
Robert’s family would like to express their thanks to the staff at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House for their exceptional care and kindness of Robert in his final days.
A graveside service will be held in the spring at South Buxton (Tory Hill) Cemetery.
