Henriette Rose (Martel) Souza, 87 of Westport died Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Richard M. Souza.
Born in Fall River, she was daughter of the late Henry and Rose (Theriault) Martel. Mrs. Souza was a Communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, Westport and was the past president of the St. George Womens Guild and also served as the choir director at St. George Church for many years. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the Brookdale Sakonnet Bay Community.
Survivors include a son: Marc R. Souza and his wife Debra L. of Little Compton; a brother: Alfred Martel and his wife Edna of Somerset; a niece and a nephew.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, January 6, 2018 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church at 10 AM.
Calling hours Fri 4 - 7 PM
Interment to which relatives and friends are invited will be MONDAY, January 8, 2017 in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport at 9 AM.
