Sandra Grieve, 73

Sandra (Smith) Grieve, age 73, of North Attleboro, formerly of Norton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her adoring family on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late Alexander Grieve, who died on August 26, 2001.
Born in Edinburgh, Scotland on May 4, 1944, she was a loving daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Welch) Smith.
Sandra grew up and was educated in Scotland. She moved to the United States in 1967, first living in Rehoboth. She had made her home in North Attleboro for the past fourteen years and had previously resided in Norton, Mansfield and Attleboro.
Prior to her recent retirement six months ago, Mrs. Grieve had been employed as an office manager for thirty-eight years at the former Mansfield Jeep and Chrysler in Mansfield.
Her favorite part of life was spending time with her treasured family, especially her granddaughter who was the apple of her eye. Sandra was very proud of her Scottish heritage and enjoyed trips back to her native homeland to visit her sisters. She also had a love for gardening and the beautiful beaches of Cape Cod.
She is survived by her devoted sons Mark A. Grieve and his wife Roxanne of Ocala, Florida, and Scott W. Grieve and his wife Pamela of North Attleboro. She was the cherished grandmother of Victoria E. Grieve of North Attleboro, the dear sister of Marlene Park and Linda Burke both of Scotland, and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to a celebration of her life on Sunday, January 7th from 12:00-4:00 P.M. at the Chieftain Pub, 23 Washington St., Plainville.
