…Auto Mechanic in Tewksbury; 61
TEWKSBURY - Dennis R. DeCoster, age 61, a well known auto-repairman in town, died peacefully, Friday evening, December 29, surrounded by his family, at L.G.H.-Saints, the result of an accident at home on the previous Friday. He was the beloved husband of Donna Marie (Pupa) DeCoster, with whom he had celebrated a thirty-fifth wedding anniversary this past October 16th.
He was born in Attleboro in July 1956, a son of Alfrieda DeCoster of Franklin, and the late Frank DeCoster, raised in Franklin, and had lived in Tewksbury for the late thirty-four years. Dennis, a “gentle giant” over 6’5” tall and massively built, worked for Brucato’s Tewksbury Center Mobil service station, for A & A Automotive, and most recently at Brucato’s Tewksbury Auto. He will be remembered for his quick smile, calm and pleasant disposition, and constant “ribbing” he received because of his huge physical stature.
Besides his wife and mother, he leaves two daughters, Amy DeCoster and Renee DeCoster both of Tewksbury; four siblings, Frank DeCoster and Peter DeCoster both of S.C., Rose DeCoster of Franklin and Marlene Breton of Milford; a brother-in-law, Andy Pupa of Tewksbury; sister-in-law, Barbara and her husband Terry Jesmer of Salem, NH; and many nieces and nephews.
