Antero M. Frias, age 74, of Fall River, passed away on Saturday December 30, 2017. Born in Ponta Garca, São Miguel Açores, he was the son of the late Manuel P. and Maria dos Anjos (Matos) Frias and husband of Maria Fernanda (D’Arruda) Frias. Antero was a machine operator for Plymouth Rubber, enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter; Fernanda Oliveira (husband Raul), sisters; Maria Moniz, and Fatima Frias, grandchildren; Kayla and Justin Oliveira, and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Manuel, Jose, and Antonio Frias.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Wednesday here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. Michael’s Church at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Calling hours on Tuesday from 4-7 P.M.
