Obituary



PARSONSFIELD- Darryl “ Chris” Winters aged 62 passed away after
A twelve year battle with cancer, he was surrounded by his
Loving family at the Gosnell Hospice House in Scarborough,
Maine on December 27th, 3:53 a.m.
Chris was born October 6,1955 he was the son of George
And Elizabeth (Murphy) Winters of Parsonsfield, Maine.
Chris attended Sacopee Valley High School, he served in
The U.S. Navy, owned and operated Corson Road
Archery, and worked in the construction business
Most of his life having started with Maine Contracting
building D’Angelo’s Sandwich Shops, Dearborn
Construction and his own business “Cedar Mountain
Log Homes” with his son Jesse, until his illness.
Chris was a fine musician playing guitar and singing
Vocals from the age of 16 until his death. Chris enjoyed
Bluegrass music and especially his band, “Cedar Mountain
Bluegrass”. Chris and his wife Linda enjoyed taking their
Camper to Bluegrass Festivals, where they met up with friends
and jammed the nights away.
Chris was loved by many, he was a loving husband, father,
Grandfather, brother, and friend to all that met him. Chris
Always put others before himself and never complained
Just thanked the good Lord for his many blessings. Chris was
Predeceased by his parents and his two brothers Brian and Mark.
Chris leaves behind his soul mate of 44 years Linda (Lessard)
Winters, three sons; Joshua James, Jesse Lee and his wife Cathy,
Jeremiah Jay Winters of Parsonsfield, Maine and 2 sisters;
Michelle Barrett, Sheila and her husband John Tracey, 9
Grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
