Steven J. “Petro” Petronelli, age 58, of Brockton, formerly of Tiverton, RI, died unexpectedly at home on December 26, 2017. Born in Brockton and raised in Whitman and East Bridgewater, he was a son of Norrine F. (Royce) Petronelli of East Bridgewater and the late Frederick J. Petronelli. Steven was a graduate of East Bridgewater High School, class of 1977. For over 40 years, Petro worked as a mason both privately as well as in the Massachusetts Bricklayers and Masons Union Local #3.
In his spare time, Steven loved to ride his Harley Davidson with friends. He enjoyed time spent with his family, especially with his son and daughter whom he was very proud of. One of his cherished memories was the cross-country road trip he took on his motorcycle with Donna. Petro will be remembered as the life of the party, always sociable and fun to be around. He was also a kindhearted and sensitive man who loved his family.
Steven is survived by his children Nicole Petronelli of Boston and Steven Petronelli of Middleboro; two grandchildren, Dylan Scott and Dayja Marie Petronelli; his siblings, Michael and Fred Petronelli of Brockton, and Lisa Hashem of East Bridgewater and her boyfriend Bill Puleo, and many nieces and nephews. Steven was the former husband of Robin and Donna.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Friday 4-7pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Saturday at 8:45am for a funeral Mass in St. John Parish, E. Bridgewater at 10am. Cremation to follow.
