HOLLIS- “Bob” Joseph G. Chase, age 85, passed away peacefully on Dec. 24, 2017 with his wife at his side.
He was born in Rumford, Maine on Feb. 22, 1932, a son of the late George and Helen (Michaud) Chase.
After proudly serving in the US Army, Bob went on to drive truck for Shell Oil in Portland, ME and California until his retirement.
He was an avid bowler and was active with Kennebec Valley Bowling. He also enjoyed the time he spent at the Tory Hill Cafe in Buxton with his diner “family”.
He is predeceased by a son- Anthony Chase; and all his siblings- Theodore, Alphonse, Leon, Joan, and Adele.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife- Hazel (Willette) Chase; son- Alan Grosso of Portland; step children- Tracy Benson of Hollis and Kendra Pleasant of CA; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his dear friends- Richard and Patti Eilinger of Hollis
Services will be private.
