Mary Ann “Maisy” Bennett, of Wayland, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2017.
Born in 1926, Maisy was the daughter of Miles & Mary Wambaugh of Hingham, and graduated from Vassar College with a degree in music.
Maisy was married to Harrison Bennett for almost 60 years until his death in 2005, and she lived in Wayland for most of her adult life.
She sang with Tanglewood Festival Chorus for almost 40 years; she also sang with the John Oliver Chorale, the New World Chorale, the Russian Chorus, as well as her church choir.
Maisy is survived by her four children: Jonathan Bennett of Medfield, Peter Bennett of Marlboro, Sarah Bennett of Lynn, and Jane Bennett Low of Monkton, VT and eight grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the First Parish in Lincoln, 14 Bedford Rd, Lincoln.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Maisy’s name to Boston University Tanglewood Institute or to Planned Parenthood.
