Obituary

Ursula B. (Burkard) Keleher of Winchester, died on Monday Oct. 24th. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Ralph F. and Etta (Houg) Burkard. Raised in Arlington, she graduated from the May School in Boston and furthered her education at Pine Manor where she received her associates degree. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul C. Keleher, M.D. with whom she lived in Winchester since 1952. She was very active in the Winchester community, as a member of St. Mary’s Parish, and as a volunteer at Winchester Hospital. She was a life-time member of the Winchester Country Club where she was an avid golfer and Bridge player. In addition, she was an accomplished Equestrian. She was also formerly the Director of volunteers at New England Rehabilitation in Woburn.

She was the loving mother of Paul C., Jr. of Dover, Ursula Keleher of Charlestown and Ann L. and William H. Desormeau, Jr. of Loudonville, NY, and the dear sister of Elise B. O’Brien of Winchester. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Leigh and Amy Keleher and Katherine and Suzanne Desormeau. Funeral from the Costello Funeral Home 177 Washington St. on Thurs. Oct. 27 @ 9am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St. Winchester at 10 am. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Lahey Clinic Cardiology Dept. c/o Philanthropy Dept. 41 Mall Road Burlington, MA 01805.
