Sonia Maria De Jesus, 43, of Worcester died Saturday, December 23rd in Tuft's Medical Center in Boston. She is survived by her husband, Jose A. Torres; two sons, Jose A. Torres of Worcester and Orlando Torres and his fiancee, Karly Buckley of Murrels Inlet, SC; two sisters, Wanda Ramos of Moyock, NC and Iraida De Jesus of Guayama, Puerto Rico and many nephews and nieces.
She was born in Salinas, Puerto Rico the daughter of, Marcos De Jesus and Betty Ortiz and had worked privately as a personal care attendant and for the Spanish Center a community outreach and support program in Pennsylvania. Sonia enjoyed cooking and was a person who gave of herself, lending a helping hand to those in need and putting others before herself. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her loving family.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME is assisting the family with arrangements.
