John “Jay” Wilbur, Age 58, Loving son, brother, uncle and loyal friend died unexpectedly as a result of a motorcycle accident on December 13, 2017. Originally from Taunton, John had resided in San Diego, CA for the past fifteen years. Son of Donald & Carol Brennan Wilbur and the late Margaret “Peg” & Richard “Dick” O’Donell. Sister Debra (Wilbur) Meunier and her husband Steven of Taunton and his brothers David Wilbur and his wife Bonnie of Norwich, CT and Christopher Park of Rochester, MA. He also leaves his nieces, Lauren Meunier, Lindsey Grady and her husband Zachary, Rhiannon Wilbur and his nephews, Darrell and Steven Young. John attended Coyle & Cassidy High School and North Adams State College. John was self employed as a process server for the CA Attorney's Association. He loved living in San Diego, and enjoyed fishing, classic car shows and frequent visits to Las Vegas. He was a huge sports fan and an avid concert goer. On his visits home, John loved spending time with his family and attending his well planned get togethers with long time friends. John’s family are proud of his many accomplishments, but none more so than his 27 years of sobriety as a friend of “Bill W”. His family will forever be grateful for all the friends that helped him on that journey. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Saturday, December 30th at 8:30 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Family Church in East Taunton at 10 am. Relatives and friends are also invited to visiting hours on Friday from 4-7 pm. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton. In lieu of flowers, his family asks that donations be made to the: John J.
