Marilynne J. "Dee" Dillon, a resident of Charlestown for nearly 50 years, entered into eternal life on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was 76 years old.
Dee was born in Boston on July 24, 1941, a daughter of the late William Dillon and Marion (Freeman) Dillon. She grew up in the Boston area where she attended Boston Public Schools before moving to Newton where graduated from Newton North High School. As a young lady, Dee was recruited by the Rockette's Dance Company in New York City. Dee worked as a Retail Manager at the United States Coast Guard base in Boston for over 15 years. Dee was well known as a clerk at "The Green Store" in Charlestown for many years. She was proud of the U.S.S. Constitution being based in Charlestown and loved the ocean and boating.
Dee is the devoted and loving mother to Michelle Dillon. She is the beloved sister of the late Thomas Early and Lorraine Fanara. She is also lovingly survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Dee's visiting hours on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 3 to 7 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Her burial will be private.
