Pauline (Blanchette) Govanni passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home on Monday, December 11, 2017. Her beloved husband, Patrick J. ‘Pat’ Govanni died January 12, 2015.
She was the daughter of Leon and Vitaline (Arcoite)Blanchette. Pauline was also predeceased by her only brother, Rosario and his only son Leo and her step-mother Celia Gaulin and her God-child, Debra Duval who died in 1961 age 3 years old and her father Roger who died in 1990, as well as her God-parents Joseph and Ophelia Blanchette and a niece Andrea Waldron.
She leaves a grandniece, Michelle and a God-child Johnna (Duval) Coggins and her husband Mark of Westborough and their sons; Nicholas who was a graduate of Providence College and Alexander a graduate of Trinity College.
Pauline also wanted to mentioned her co-workers and friends and family members from Ethan-Allen, where Pat retired in 1986. Pauline retired from American Optical/Warner Lambert in 1990, after working over 40 years , starting in the case plant as a factory worker, then office work as administration secretary for Mr. John L. Bola, President of research and development and his wife Terry and staff.
Pauline later volunteered at the Hubbard Hospital Gift Shop, the Dudley Tax office, Tri-State Toyota (now McGee Toyota). A special thanks to her special friends at P.A.V. of Webster and Dudley to help make pierogis, but was always happy to come home to help Pat with their outside work.
From P.A.V., she had to attend their banquet, being French-Italian, she was surprised and honored when presented a Certificate of Merit signed by the P.A.V. Auxillary by State President Diane M. Parker in 2003 with a Gold Seal, and to boot, when she got home, her polish friends, Walter and Martha Plotczyk from California were waiting with Pat for her at home.
Pauline was so grateful to her clergy, church, staff and friends. Her friendly and kind neighbors from near and far. Most of all Pauline wanted to Thank to All the drivers that took her to and from work in Worcester when needed, their kindness in so many ways added to our service workers meant a lot. Her haird stylists over the years; Stasia Z., Barbara P., Patricia B. and Stephanie at Peters and staff, were all heaven scent. Our neighbors and friends near and far for; sports, card games, vacations, dancing and get togethers. They All went Over and Beyond in their own special way. Loved all of the above “All in the Family”.
Pauline also wanted to Thank everyone for the Home Cooked food given to her and how delicious everything was a the help and cooked food from Dudley Park n’ Shop and their staff.
Also she expressed Thanks to Attorney David J. DuPont, James Cipari, Shane Bacigalupo and Robert J. Miller ‘Our Funeral Director” for all their kindness, love and expertise. Being the last one to be buried at Calvary Cemetery with the Govanni Family.. Thanks to All ; So Long Bob from the heart of our Govanni family.
Pauline’s special ‘ Last Thanks’ is to all members of our family and friends; the Arcoite, Gaulin, Blanchette, Catino, Iovanni and Govanni families; The Good Lord has been ‘Good to Us’ so we could help other, we will Always be Thankful.
Now Pat and Pauline have passed, may all current living ones Live in Peace, We will Rest In Peace here Dancing with the Stars up above, Our final Thank You-Our Good bye and May God Bless.
