Jerrell D. “Jerry” Mills age 71 of Brockton died Tuesday December 19, 2017 at his home after a period of failing health. He was the devoted partner and husband of the late Dennis Moneghan for 41 years.
Jerry was born in Gravette, Arkansas and raised in California a son of the late Virgil and Velma Mills. He had lived in Brockton since 1979. Following his high school graduation, Jerry enlisted in the US Army and served in Vietnam and was discharged as a sergeant. He was the owner of J&D Laundromat in Brockton for many years.
Jerry enjoyed going to casinos and had traveled extensively around the world. Most importantly, Jerry loved spending time with his extended family and friends.
Jerry is survived by his chosen children Catrina Sellers of Redding, CA; Dorothy Savini, Edwin Fuentes and Nicole Fuentes all of Sharon and was a dear friend of Dorothy Vargas-Lozano of Sharon, Linda Mackinaw and Linda Kelly both of Brockton. He was the brother of the late Ann Evans and Carol Combs. He also leaves many more friends and family.
Visiting hours are omitted. A Graveside Service will be held at Pine Hill Cemetery in West Bridgewater on Friday December 29, 2017 at 11:30am.
