New Bedford – Ruth A. (Medro) Desrosiers, 93, of New Bedford passed away at home on December 18, 2017. She was the widow of George N. Desrosiers.
Mrs. Desrosiers was born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Manuel P. and Aurelia (Jackson) Medro and was a lifelong resident of the city. She was a member of the North Baptist Church. She was employed as a legal secretary by various local attorneys until her retirement. She was a member of the Legal Secretaries Association and a former Girl Scout Leader.
Survivors include her daughters: Diane Mikush and her husband Michael of Bridgewater and Marie Desrosiers of New Bedford; 2 grandchildren: Elisabeth A. Mikush and Julie R. Mikush, both of Bridgewater; her BFF: Mary Murphy of New Bedford; her dear aunt Evelyn Desrosiers; several nieces & nephews; and her health aid and dear friend: Hilda.
She was sister of the late John F. Greene and Dorothy M. Greene.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend memorial visiting hours at the Kirby Funeral Home, 61 Tarkiln Hill Road, New Bedford on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, 2:00-5:00 P.M. Funeral services on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
