Albert Novo, 73, of Westport, peacefully passed away at home on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Carol A. (Mello) Novo; they were married for 54 years.
Mr. Novo was born in Fall River, son of the late Abel O. and Jeannette (Pelletier) Novo and had resided in Westport for most of his life. He was a graduate of Westport High School and had worked for ten years as a welder and fabricator at Globe Manufacturing, Fall River. He had also been employed by Avica, Tech-Etch and Store Tech. He enjoyed wintering in Davenport, FL and summering May-October at East Beach Road, Westport where he spent time with his loving family and friends fishing, shellfishing and enjoying spectacular sunsets on the beach.
Survivors along with his wife include his two sons: Keith J. Novo and his wife Deborah of Westport and Kenneth A. Novo and his fiancé Valerie Amorin of Westport; a brother: Abel Novo and his wife Carol of Westport; 3 grandchildren: Amanda Novo, Andrew Dubois-Novo and Brandon Dubois; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, December 30, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Church, 945 Main Rd., Westport, MA 02790 at 10:00 A.M.
