JANET GAINES, 62, passed away December 18, 2017.
She was a former employee of the Galt House and was a devout follower of Christ.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Jesse, Sr. and Zenobia “Toby” Gaines.
Survivors include her brothers, Jesse Gaines, Jr. (Patricia) and Michael Gaines (Vicki); sisters, Tanita Gaines Merritt, Delores Jones and Rhonda Gaines; stepmother, Kathryn Gaines,
step brother, Marcus Smith (Karen), step sisters, Jessica Dubose, Shaunda Ellis, Tammy Porter (Diego) and Kim Young; beloved member of the James L. & Mary Ann Brown family and the Lloyd & Pat Pride family; along with a host of aunts, uncles,nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Her memorial service will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway. Janet’s wishes were to be cremated.
Memorial visitation will be from 12 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
