Edward M. “Eddie” “Mo” Moriarty Sr. Of Medford, died Sunday after a brief illness in the Glen Ridge Nursing Care Medford, MA.
Born in East Boston, he lived in Medfrod since 1949 and was the son of the late Mary (Walsh) Edward Moriarty. Mr. Moriarty was a Shipper at Boston Woven Hose & Rubber/American Biltrite in Cambridge for 35 years and then worked at Stop & Shop in Wellington Circle in the Deli Department for 20 years. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WW II from 1943 to 1946.
Beloved husband of 53 years to Grace (Volmer) Moriarty. Devoted father of Atty. Edward M. Moriarty Jr. and his wife Joanne Scott of Salem, Mary Thrasher of Halifax. Adored grandfather of Marina, Estella, Evan, Charlie and Julie. Brother of Julia Moriarty of Medford, Alice Moriarty S.N.D. of Worcester and the late Trudy, Clarence J., William F., and John J. Moritary. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford, at 9 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Wednesday 4 - 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
