Obituary

James G. Yuille, 81, of New Bedford died Sunday October 23, 2005 at St. Luke's Hospital.

Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Robert and Esther (Jameson) Yuille, he lived in New Bedford most of his life.

Mr. Yuille was a self-employed real estate broker.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Andrews-Dahill Post 1531, the American Legion Post 166, and the George H. Taber Lodge, A.F.& A.M.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army and participated in the Battles of Sicily, Normandy, and Central Europe. He was awarded the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star, the Distinguished Unit Badge, the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon with three service stars, and the Good Conduct Medal.

Survivors include his companion Esther Yuille of New Bedford; two sons, James B. Yuille of Connecticut and James G. Yuille, Jr. of Virginia; several stepchildren and step-grandchildren in Florida; a sister, Phyllis Pearson of Huntington Beach, CA.; three nephews, Mark W. Yuille of Acushnet, Robert W. Yuille of Westport, and Ross Pearson of California; a niece, Elizabeth Pearson of California; and a granddaughter, Michelle S. Yuille of Acushnet;

He was the brother of the late Robert Yuille and John "Jack" Yuille.

Funeral Services will be private. Visiting hours are omitted.
