Norman E. Rowe

TEWKSBURY: Norman E. Rowe, age 87, a resident of Emerald Court in Tewksbury, formerly of Merrimack, NH, Lowell, and Littleton, passed away at Bayberry Assisted Living on Monday, December 18, 2017, following a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
He was the beloved husband of Jewel E. (Peaslee) Rowe with whom he celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary on November 12, 2017.
Born in Washington, D.C. on May 8, 1930, he was the son of the late Rufus N. Rowe, Jr. and the late Clara N. (Gignilliat) Rowe.
Norman was the child of a military family. He attended Rome Georgia schools and graduated from Rome High School.
Prior to his retirement in 1991, he was employed as a machinist by USCI, a division of the C.R. Bard Company in Billerica.
Norman enjoyed playing the trumpet, building and flying model airplanes, and operating his HAM Radio.
In addition to his wife, survivors include five children, Marina Seitsinger and her husband Robert, Leah Rowe, James Rowe and his wife Meg, Joseph Rowe, and Peter Rowe; step-children, Joel Guillemette and his wife Wendy, Jill Robinson, and Janet Gowan and her husband George, Jr.; numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great grandchildren, and step- great grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Duggan.
Norman was the father of the late Daniel Rowe, brother of the late Rufus N. Rowe, III and Mildred Mancini, and father-in-law of the late David Robinson.
Calling hours are Thursday, Dec. 21, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury, immediately followed by his funeral service to be held at the funeral home.
