Schmidt, Mary Diane, 74 of Louisville and Evansville, Ind passed away peacefully on December 16, 2017, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Mary is survived by her loving husband, Julius J. Schmidt; son, Jason Bloodworth; granddaughter, Heather Dutton; stepdaughters, Sherry Kennedy (David), Susan Bradley and Julie Hanrahan; cousins, Jill Steinmetz, Mike Simms and Nancy Simms; nine step-grandchildren; sixteen stepgreat-grandchildren; and her beloved dogs, Truman and Carson.
Preceded in death by her parents, Mark and Jeanette Kilmer.
Mary was a talented artist and a devoted mother to her son, Jason. She could often have been found bowling, golfing or dancing the night away with Julius, her loving husband of 35 years.
The visitation will be held from 2 - 7pm on Wednesday, December 20th, at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway. The funeral service will follow at 7pm. The burial will be held the following day on Thursday, December 21st at Locust Hill cemetery, 3800 Kratzville Rd, Evansville, IN, Gate #3, at 1pm (EST, 12pm CST).
