Elizabeth A. (Khoury) Diliddo age 98 of Wareham, died Monday at Lifecare of West Bridgewater after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Vito Diliddo for almost 50 years. Elizabeth was born in Lawrence, Mass. a daughter of the late Elias and Macha (Joseph) Khoury and had lived in Brockton for many years before moving to East Wareham in 1982.
A 1937 graduate of Brockton High School Elizabeth had been a stitcher in several ladies garment manufacturers including MacIntosh Clothing. She was a longtime member of the ILGWU and past president of the Emblem Club of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Wareham Elks Lodge. She had been very active in volunteer work at St. Vincent de Paul Society in Onset. She had also been a longtime secretary of Agapine Lake Association. Elizabeth enjoyed spending time with her family especially her great grandchildren.
She was the mother of Mario R. Diliddo and his wife Mary Lou of East Wareham; William E. Diliddo and his wife Denise of Bridgewater and Donna Gilbride and her husband John of Dighton. She also leaves 8 grandchildren Lynn Marie Roache, Denise McNulty, Lisa Donahue, Jillian Lucchetti, Jacqueline Welsh, Jamie Gilbride, Robert Diliddo and Patrick Gilbride; and 11 great grandchildren Megan, Mark, Mason, Kyle, Riley, Michael, Benjamin, David, Colby, Callen and Gianna. She was the sister of the late William, Joseph, Thomas, Henry, George, Benjamin and Mary Khoury and Catherine Damon.
Visitation will be held at the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (rte. 123) Brockton on Thursday 4-7pm. Funeral services and burial will be private.
