Obituary

Derry- Anna Bubelnyk Coco, 98, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on December 19, 2017.

Mrs. Coco was born in Manchester, NH on November 28, 1919, daughter of John and Hafia (Makar) Bubelnyk. She was raised in Manchester and resided in Londonderry and Derry for most of her life.
A member of the Amalgamated Clothing Worker’s Union, she was employed at P&M Manufacturing and Mighty Mac, both in Manchester.

Anna was known for her abundant garden where flowers bloomed and vegetables grew. Passers-by would stop to photograph her various blooms, most often her giant sunflowers. If not in her garden, she would be found by the hum of her sewing machine. Whether tailoring clothes for her clients, hemming pants for nieces and nephews, or creating costumes for her grandchildren, a sewing project was always in the works.

She fed everyone who came to her door and frequently housed members of her extended family. A woman of few words, she expressed her love in her deeds. She will be missed.

Anna was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Joseph Coco, a sister, Antoinette Bubelnyk, and a brother, Paul Bubelnyk.
She is survived by her daughter Jo-Ann and son-in-law Jim Welch; two grandchildren: Rich Welch and his wife Lori and Laura Welch and her husband Chris Viens; four great grandchildren: Owen, Eamon, Kodiak, and Coco; as well as her sister, Julia Chaput of Manchester, and several nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours. Graveside services were held on Thursday December 21, 2017 at 1:30pm at Pine Grove Cemetery, Brown Ave., Manchester, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to VNA Hospice of Manchester.
